Walk For Hope 2020 is Aug 15. Here’s what you need to know.

Join us for our 2020 Walk For Hope at the West Virginia State Capitol on Aug. 15 and help us raise money for our Children’s Resource Center. This year, we will be walking in the midst of a lot of uncertainty due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, which has left many kids and families in our community without basic needs.
Last year, we exceeded our fundraising goal thanks to incredible supporters who believed in our mission to serve children and families affected by addiction. Our mission hasn’t changed since then. In fact, the COVID-19 pandemic has given us an even greater urgency to make sure kids in our community have plenty to eat and other necessities we take for granted every day.

Changes to our walk format due to COVID-19

Due to the ongoing pandemic, we are taking extra precautions to make sure walkers and event staff are safe. We encourage everyone to wear masks and will be limiting the number of participants by splitting into two groups of walkers, who will walk at 9 or 10 a.m. We will provide masks for walkers who don’t have one and will have hand sanitizing stations. And, so we can manage crowd size, we are asking everyone to sign up before the walk. Register hereThese measures will help everyone follow social distancing guidelines during the event. If you would prefer to participate virtually, we will also have a walk-from-home option. Just select that option when you register and we will provide more details in the weeks to come.
